Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Subscription Services

UnknownDev offers subscription-based access to its software platforms (e.g. UBooks):

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings
• Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the service until the end of the current billing period
• No refunds or credits will be issued for partial billing periods or unused time remaining

2. Cancellation Policy

• It is your responsibility to cancel your subscription before the next billing date to avoid being charged
• If a subscription is not cancelled before the renewal date, the next billing cycle will be charged in full
• Cancellation stops future billing but does not trigger automatic refunds for the current period
• Cancelled accounts will have their data retained for a reasonable period before permanent deletion

3. Refund Policy - Digital Products & SaaS

Due to the nature of digital software and the immediate granting of access upon payment:

• All payments are generally non-refundable once access has been granted
• Refunds will not be issued for change of mind
• Refunds will not be issued for lack of usage or failure to cancel before renewal
• Refunds will not be issued where the service has been used, even partially

4. Exceptions - When Refunds May Be Considered

Refunds may be considered at our sole discretion in limited circumstances, including:

• Duplicate or accidental payments
• Verified billing errors on our part
• Verified technical failures that prevent access to the service for an extended period

If approved, refunds will be processed via the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe. Approved refund amounts may be pro-rated based on usage.

5. Custom Development & Consulting Services

For custom software development, consulting engagements, or freelance work:

• Payments are non-refundable once work has commenced
• Deposits paid to initiate a project are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing
• If a project is cancelled by the client, you will be invoiced for all work completed up to the date of cancellation
• Scope changes that affect delivery timelines or cost must be agreed upon in writing before work proceeds

6. Chargebacks

• We strongly encourage you to contact us first before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider
• Initiating a chargeback without prior contact may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account
• We reserve the right to dispute any chargeback and to provide evidence of service delivery to your financial institution
